Pay-Less Markets Community Foundation Announces Kick the Fat 2026: Marking 30 Years of Health, Wellness, and Community in Guam
Tuesday, January 13, 2026 – Hagåtña, Guam Pay-Less Markets Community Foundation is proud to announce the 30th Annual Pay-Less Kick the Fat 5K/10K Run/Walk and Wellness Fair, taking place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Paseo Stadium in Hagåtña, Guam. Show time begins at 4:45 a.m. with the 10K race starting at 5:30 a.m. and the 5K race starting at 6:00 a.m. This year marks the 30th running of the Kick the Fat event, making it three decades of promoting health, wellness, and community engagement across Guam.
“Kick the Fat has always been more than a race—it is a celebration of our island’s spirit and our shared commitment to wellness. This event reflects a core tenet of Pay-Less’ mission: Caring for Our Community. Reaching our 30th year is a milestone we proudly share with the entire Guam community. We are excited to once again bring everyone together to run, walk, and strengthen the connections that help make our island healthier and stronger,” said Kathy Calvo, President and CEO of Pay-Less Markets.
Registration for Kick the Fat ‘26 opened on January 12, 2026, with Early Bird registration running through January 30, Regular registration from January 31 to March 6, and Late registration available from March 7 to March 13 until 5:00 p.m. There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Mandatory packet pick-up will be held at Micronesia Mall, 1st Floor Center Court (next to Beyond the Box, Space 121/122) on February 28–March 1 and March 7–8. Registered participants must pick up their race packets in person. Each packet includes a running bib with chip timing. Official race shirts will be provided to the first 2,500 (5K) participants and race singlets to the first 500 (10K) participants who pick up their packets during packet pick-up.
Participants can look forward to exclusive race swag for purchase, prize giveaways, raffle drawings and more, including a Grand Prize of two economy class roundtrip tickets to any Southeast Asian destination via Philippine Airlines, courtesy of Goodwind Travel & Tour, Pay-Less gift cards, Paradise Fitness Duo Club memberships, an overnight stay at LeoPalace for two, and a $500 cash prize awarded to the school with the highest participation, based on school population.
Proceeds from Kick the Fat 26 will benefit Astumbo Middle School (PTO), Be Heartfelt, Inc., Breaking Wave Theatre Company, Inc., Foneni Achocho Senso Athletic Organization, Gametime, Inc., Guam National Badminton Federation, Mañe’lu, Pacific Islands University, and Victims Advocate Reaching Out (VARO).
