WHEAT CRUST
INGREDIENT LIST:
* 4 C. Wheat Flour
* 1 C. Nonfat/Skim Milk
* 1/2 C. Shortening (Crisco)
* 1 C. Sugar
* 1 Tsp. Baking Powder
PUMPKIN FILLING
INGREDIENT LIST:
* 2 1/2 c. pumpkin
* 3/4 c. brown sugar
* 2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
PREPARATION:
1. Preheat oven at 375º.
Crust: Shift flour, sugar and baking powder into a large mixing bowel. Combine remaining ingredients to form dough. Cut dough into golf size pieces forming a ball, cover and set aside.
2. Mix pumpkin ingredients together. Set aside.
3. Take dough and roll them into 4 inch disk. Take disk, place a teaspoon of filling in the center, moisten edges with some water then fold in half forming a semicircle. With a fork, crimp edges to seal. Makes 2 dozen. Bake for 20 minutes or until gold brown.
